Looks like you don't need the 400mm lens to take an amazingly detailed bird shot :) Wonderful sharp shot.

I love Eagles Nate, this is my favorite photo so far from your amazing work. Around 3 weeks ago I visited a photo exhibition about Nature photography and they had really beautiful photos of the Bald Eagle, printed in a huge size, your photo should be displayed in a museum as well. I loved it, congratulations for your excellent work, it is always inspiring!
